Staring Now. . .

The new 2011 BSL album has arrived. Early 🙂

Black Swan Lane is happy and proud to announce the August 2011 release, Staring Down The Path Of Sound.
We’ve been working on this album for more than a year and we are truly excited about the results. Our returning friends will notice that this release sounds a little different from our previous albums. We believe that this is the natural evolution of the BSL sound and we’re proud of where this process has taken us.

One of the most noticeable differences is the presence of former Interscope recording artist (and ex-Messenger alum) Lauren Faye.  Her voice lends an ethereal quality that cannot be described – it simply must be heard.

Once again, we sought out the best people to assist us and we believe that you will appreciate the results. We were fortunate to be able to work again with famed engineer Jeff Tomei who has engineered, mixed and produced some of the world’s best acts (including the Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20, Soul Asylum, Jerry Cantrell, Operator…).

We also put more effort into the selection of our cover for this release. We feel privileged to be able to share with you two beautiful images from a very talented, young artist in France named, Julie de Waroquier. Her photography immediately grabbed our attention and invoked feelings that made us think her pictures were perfect for the
title we gave our album. The cover features the surreal beauty of “Ghosts of my life” and, inside you will also find the striking image “The voyage.” Please check out her amazing work at http://www.juliedewaroquier.com/.

Please visit www.blackswanlane.com to listen to tracks from the new release. Also, please consider this your invitation to order this or any of the previous Black Swan Lane releases.

At this time, Staring Down The Path Of Sound is only available from blackswanlane.com; however, it will soon be available for digital download on iTunes and amazon.com.
Cheers and thank you for your continued support, BSL.

*Each copy of Staring Down The Path Of Sound that is ordered at https://www.blackswanlane.com comes with a BSL guitar pick and sticker.

ps  Check out the BSL player on our home page.

We just added another track called Alvea to the player which is on the new album. 🙂
